Running the tasks
Only after the Inventor Migration Tool has be properly set up as described in About the Inventor Migration Tool, can you run the tasks to perform the migration.
Before you begin
We highly recommend that you perform the following before running the Inventor Migration Tool tasks.
- Verify that all of the files in the file list created in Creating a source list resolve correctly in the existing version of Autodesk Inventor.
- Install the Autodesk Inventor upgrade that you want to use for the migration.
- Confirm that a current verified backup of the vault and stream files exists and can be restored, if necessary.
- Close Autodesk Inventor on the computer that will run the migration.
- Ensure that no users are connected to the vault that will be involved in the migration. For this reason, we recommend performing migration after business hours.
